A couple who took on a huge project when they bought their first property have shown off the stunning results of converting an old spare room into an Instagram-worthy bathroom.
Leah Holden and her boyfriend Glenn, received the keys for their home in Huddersfield last year and began their renovation project by taking on a run-down spare room with old brown patterned carpet and peeling wallpaper.
The home's original bathroom was next to the main bedroom, but didn't have an external wall, window or even a toilet.
The pair, both 28, showered at the gym and used their kitchen sink for three months when they stripped out the old bathroom and began creating their own - doing much of the work themselves to save money.
From start to finish the work took them about six months to complete, with the only paid help coming from plumbers who carried out the pipe fitting and having a new floor professionally fitted.

Leah said: "We found the bath, which people comment on the most, on eBay for £80, then primed it and painted it pink. We'd seen a similar one online for £1,000.
"Because the seller was local, they also dropped it off for us at no extra charge.
"We got the wood for the panelling free; someone else who had done panelling had it left over, so we just cut it to size. We had to buy a bit extra, but it only cost around £20 to £30. We also bought beading that we stuck on."

Amazing home transformations
Following the rewarding results, Leah and Glenn want to get the upstairs of the home finished first, before they turn their attention to converting the basement into a 'haberdashery-style kitchen' with old-fashioned wooden shop counters.
Leah shared the incredible before and after photos of their project on the DIY On A Budget UK Facebook group , where it attracted more than 9,200 likes from others who called the results 'beautiful'.
The couple also post progress of the transformation job on Instagram so others can follow the renovation of their Victorian terrace home.
